Why would you want to study International Relations at University of Warsaw?
We offer the opportunity for those seeking an M.A. degree delivered in an English Language in a dynamic
Central Eastern European capital. The program is designed to prepare students to be ready to grasp the opportunities
afforded in an ever globalizing world. Governments, NGOs International Organizations and Businesses need
people who can effectively work within this global environment.
Unique format of M.A. in International Relations
not only introduces student to the workings of International Relations,
but also is responsive to interdisciplinary concerns such as law, business, history, and culture,
and gives a competitive advantage to students who study in such a program. Moreover,
studying overseas allows students for intercultural interaction that no classroom experience
can expose them to. Finally, with their M.A. degree in hand, they can either continue studies at the doctoral
level or seek employment in a variety of areas in the public and private sectors.
The 2-year Program consists of four semesters and offers 16 courses including an M.A.
Seminar aimed at thesis preparation and individual focus. All units are taught in English by
experienced American and European faculty. Institute of International Relations at University
of Warsaw allows students to shape up their own curriculum by offering a joint compilation of units ranging from World
Politics and public International Law to private International Trade and Global Marketing.
The interdisciplinary approach and educational diversity represent some of the
unique features of University of Warsaw's M.A. Program. Students can choose a suitable major from
several areas of international relations, select a supervisor for a thesis, and display their intellectual
potential in an individual manner attributable to the selected field of study. Coursework components are offered
in both Fall and Spring terms (semesters).
Students of Graduate M.A. Program in International Relations may take part in international students exchange program Erasmus. They may also exchange with Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) in Chicago, USA.
Graduates of M.A. Program in International Relations have a possibility to continue their education at the PhD level.
